Staycation with Wyndham I-Drive & ICON Park in Orlando!
This past month we were invited to stay at the Wyndham I-Drive location in Orlando, FL. Traveling with 3 kids takes a lot of planning but the team at Wyndham went over and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing (and comfortable)! The first thing I noticed upon arrival was that the location of the resort was amazing. We were so close to a ton of Orlando attractions and even walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops. When we checked into the hotel we were very impressed with the beautiful lobby and how quickly the check in process was. We decided to explore a little after check in and walked around the beautiful campus to check out the pool area. We also stopped at Gatorville their poolside bar & grill for a drink and quick bite before we headed to our room.
Thank you Wyndham I-Drive & ICON Park for hosting our family staycation! We are so excited to come back!
We stayed in their connecting suite which was perfect for our family set up. The girls had their own room (with bunk beds) and we had more than enough space in our room for Hudson’s pack and play. The kids had so much fun running through the spacious suite and were SO excited about having their own bunk beds! The suite also included a tv couch area, desk sitting area and kitchen!
Our plan for the trip was to explore ICON Park one day and explore another Orlando attraction the next day but we ended up doing ICON both days because the kids loved it so much! ICON park is a 20 acre, open air, entertainment destination. It literally has everything you need for family fun or date night! Our first night at ICON Park we started out by playing in the open field. They had live music and the weather was amazing in December so we were soaking it all in. We also did the carousel and went to dinner at Brother Jimmy’s (so delish & kid friendly) and ended the night with ice cream at Haagan! Getting to and from ICON park was really convenient and they even have free parking.
The next day, we used our passes to explore some of the attractions at ICON park. We started with the Sea Life Orlando Aquarium which was beautiful and so much fun to explore! Then we headed to Madare Tussadds and the Museum of Illusion’s that have always been on my Orlando bucket list. We had so much fun at all of the attractions and they were perfect for all age groups! After exploring the attractions the kids played inside at the arcade and we ended our day with Dragon’s Breath snacks which were so cool! You can literally spend the entire day there and we will definitely be back the next time we are in Orlando!
If you are looking for a great central location to stay at in Orlando for your vacation you definitely should check out the Wyndham I-Drive Location. Our stay was so perfect for our family and we will definitely be back for our next family vacation!
