Happy Birthday Fiona Book Party
As a family, we love to find new book series that we can dive into with the kids. When the girls find a book they love they will read it over and over so finding a series that we can follow along with is perfect for us. Last summer, we introduced the Fiona the Hippo brand to you guys as one of our favorite Zonderkidz book series. Fiona is a famous hippo from the Cincinnati Zoo that was born prematurely at only 29 pounds. Her inspiring story of spunk and determination to become a happy & healthy hippo is the inspiration for this book series. Each book captures the best storylines that teach anything is possible with positivity and perseverance, never give up and love/support are very powerful.
To celebrate Fiona’s upcoming birthday, a brand new book was added to this series Happy Birthday Fiona!! We had so much fun putting together this Fiona Birthday party kit in the birthday girls’ honor. I love a good interactive storytime and this play kit that ties into the birthday celebration book was so fun! They give you everything you need to make Fiona’s birthday an interactive experience along with a fun and engaging storyline.
The party kit is great to use as a fun way to read the book but would also be great for a classroom, library event, sleepover theme, or even a kid-themed birthday party. It comes with invitations, a banner, hats, pin the hat on the hippo game, and cupcake toppers. It was so easy to print everything out and put it together. Invite all your friends over for a fun book party event or just create the fun at home with your little ones. We had our 4-year-old help cut out all of the party kit items as her special job and piece it all together.
All of the books in this series have the best storylines but we love the Happy Birthday, Fiona book because it teaches about the importance of friendship, reminds children that giving and sharing is just as special as receiving, and has really colorful/fun art from New York Times bestselling artist Richard Cowdrey (Fiona the Hippo, Bad Dog, Marley). Choosing books that have storylines that teach a lesson but can also captivate a toddler is so important to us and every book in this series is able to do that. The other great part is their book are very relevant and flow easily for a toddler to keep up and understand.
