Simple Pantry Refresh
A couple weeks ago, I got the sudden urge to get our kitchen organized. I’m still not sure if it was the nesting kicking in or just a quarantine symptom but either way I finally got it done. I have been wanting to get things more organized in the pantry for a while so I decided to start with that space. With most of my projects, I like to keep them simple and quick so it’s easy to maintain. Below, are the 3 simple steps I took to get our pantry poppin’.
Step 1: Take EVERYTHING out
This was definitely the most daunting step in the whole process because I had no idea how much we stuffed in there over the years. I started by organizing everything into sections while taking it out and went through everything we would keep or get rid of/donate. Once, I finally got the pantry completely empty we did a much needed deep clean in there.
Step 2: Organize your containers/baskets
After everything was clean and taken out, I organized all my containers and baskets in the pantry. Everything was placed based on functionality so items we would be using or grabbing on the daily I added to the bottom front of shelves and things we don’t use as often went on the higher shelves or more towards the back. Again, the idea is to keep it simple and organized based on what’s going to be easy to maintain and use daily. I love these OXO Pop container sets I found on Amazon and these woven baskets from Target.
Step 3: Get your pantry full & poppin’
Finally the fun part… fill that pantry back up! I had to make a run to the store to get everything in there I needed but I love how it turned out. So far we have been able to maintain keeping it organized and plan to keep it that way (the hubby even promised to help he loved it so much). It makes everything easier when you can quickly see and grab the things you need. I also went a step more and organized our fridge as well with this fridge organizer set from Amazon.
